US Promotes Quality
from Coast to Coast

For too long, says the NYNMA's programme co-ordinator, Amanda Bryan, the Big Apple has been overlooked: "It's even been refered to as 'Silicon Alley'. At Milia we'll be looking to directly dispel that kind of idea... In truth there's a concentration of creative and innovative offline and online companies here, many of which have only come along in the past 12 months or so."

A non-profit association aiming to propel small and start-up companies towards success, NYNMA is bringing a clutch of firms to market including Hyperspace Cowgirls,, AdOne, The Alliance for Downtown and Netcast. "All are aware of the importance of Milia in terms of contacts and gaining an international profile," says Bryan. "It's vitally important for new companies to start thinking in terms of foreign markets from the off."
